My name is Katie Maniscalco or "Ms. Mani" as the students call me; I am excited and blessed to be the School Counselor here at Our Lady of Grace. Originally from San Antonio and Poteet, I like to say I’ve had the best of both worlds; city energy and country charm! I spend much of any free time I have exploring the country with my 8 year old Australian Shepherd Patch.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and my Master’s from the University of Texas at Arlington, both in Social Work, with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Misuse. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) through the State of Texas, with experience working with individuals of all ages and abilities, though my true passion lies in supporting youth.
Having attended Catholic school Prek through 12th in San Antonio, I deeply understand the value of a faith-centered learning environment and the profound impact it can have on a child’s personal, academic, and spiritual growth.
In my role as a counselor, my top priority is open communication and understanding. I want every student and family to know that I am here to listen, support, and guide in any way I can. Whether it’s academic challenges, emotional support, or anything in between, I am committed to helping our students thrive.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns—I’m here to assist in any way possible and ensure your child’s success at Our Lady of Grace!
My hours at Our Lady of Grace are on the following days:
Tuesdays: 08:00 am – 3:30 pm
Wednesdays: 08:00 am – 3:30 pm
Thursdays: 08:00 am – 12:30 pm
I hope to talk to you soon.
-Ms. Mani
